I am a native Georgian, born and reared in Columbus, Georgia. My mother Jean Park, a prolific artist herself, is my greatest influence. She has filled my life with creative spirit and an attitude that I can do anything. After spending thirty years in the business world, I have settled down in the community of LaGrange, Georgia. Here I have met an incredible artist community through the LaGrange Art Museum. I enjoy classes at the museum and also participate in numerous workshops in the southeast. I have a great home studio where I work daily.
My inspiration comes to me from nature. The simplicity and individuality of the tree and all things that dwell in and around it inspire me. To me, it’s the fascination of capturing the colors moving in and through everything natural. I have just begun plein air painting and am amazed by the glorious palette surrounding me! I simply love what I do. I am fortunate to live in a beautiful area of this country and believe I can paint what I see right here all the remaining days of my life.
