• Our next meeting will be Thursday, March 16th from 6-8:00 at Studio 114 in LaGrange. Becky Guinn will be demonstrating watercolor on Yupo paper. We will also be voting on the publicity art for the Suffering Artist exhibit. Please bring one piece you plan to submit for the show. Remember the size limit is 24” in any direction. The winner’s exhibiting fee will be waived.

• VAAL is still in need of a Treasurer and Hostess. Please contact Thea at if you are interested.

March 17th is the deadline for paying your Membership Dues. After March 17th the fee will be $35.

March 17th is the deadline to register for Hillside Art and Music Festival. Ribbons will be awarded during the event plus it’s a great way to connect to your audience. Take advantage of the publicity and support your community!

Just a note as we prepare for our 10th Anniversary: Size restrictions for the Suffering Artist exhibit is 24” in any direction, the LaGrange Art Museum exhibit is 36” in any direction. Smaller works are wonderful for the Hillside Art and Music and Sip and Shop events.

Out of the Fire: A Celebration of Regional Artists in Clay will have it’s opening reception at the Cochran Gallery Friday, February 10th from 6-9:00. Featuring Kilsup Van Lieu, Margaret Reneke, Tim Taunton, Austin Wieland, Teresa Foshee, Suzi McKibben, Lisa Meeks and Jeanine Bradfield

• The Lamar Dodd has an opening reception for its show 20th Century Graphics from the Cochran Collection on Friday, February 17th from 6-8:00.
